the Green

We were appointed by the owners of a 160 year old Victorian home to undertake a full scheme of refurbishments. Internally the existing house has ornate original detailing to the doors, window and plasterwork, but a rather modern finish elsewhere.

This minimalist finish was contrary to the client's tastes and lifestyle requirements which resulted in a fully bespoke and vibrant palette of traditional joinery, textures and colours being introduced. This all hiding a complex but discreet and sensitively installed mechanical and electrical installation including the latest in full home automation. A ground source heat pump supplies the air conditioning and a rainwater harvesting system irrigates the garden.

Our work and collaboration with an interior designer resulted in a harmonious and ultimately personalised environment. The 450 sqm house includes six bedrooms, a playroom, home cinema, wine cellar, library, gym, drawing room, dining room and a large open plan, double aspect kitchen and living space linking to the re-landscaped garden.
